Shea butteris produced from the seed of Shea tree found in Africa which is also called the tree of youth locally. Because this tree has to wait for 20 years to blossom and fruit after its seed has been planted, it is hard to be made a commercial crop. The butter is always harvested from wild trees in the local areas, which means it is very precious.
